Yesterday, after much anticipation, my newly purchased core 2 quad CPU arrived for my rendering machine. I set about dismantling the computer to get it ready for the processor then opened the package that arrived. I'm not sure why it was sent from Japan, despite it being an English based seller I was dealing with, but I paid it no mind. After opening the package and the processor's box within I was pretty miffed to find that it only contained the cooler and not the CPU itself. I was pretty damn sure I didn't pay over a hundred pounds for a fan so a I looked at the invoice. There, written as an afterthought at the bottom were the words:
"?CPU cooler only?? There is not the CPU!! The CPU cooler is new. A cabinet, others are in a beautiful state"
The seller is now claiming that this was clearly stated on the item's page, but is reluctantly giving me a refund anyway. Why would anyone charge a hundred quid for a fucking cooling fan? I don't like buying stuff online for precisely reasons like this, but unfortunately sometime I have no choice. This time I got burned.-
Update: I received notification from Amazon that my refund has gone through. Things have finally come up Team Yunners. I sill wont be buying from third party vendors again though.
